SPAIN, Seville, gold cob 1 escudo, Philip II, assayer Gothic D to right, mintmark S to left, mounted cross-side out in 18K gold pendant with fixed bail and diamonds. 8.52 grams total. XF piece with unusual cross from wide doubling, rather lustrous with rich golden toning, nearly complete shield with clear assayer and partial king's name in legend.
